Scripture: Exodus 2, 2 Chronicles (various passages), Luke 6:27-36
Questions:
1) In Exodus 2:1-10, revisit the faith of Jochebed and observe all the ways she demonstrated faith in the Lord.
2) In 2 Chronicles 29:1-2, we have the personal testimony of King Hezekiah. Where did that faith come from? Discuss how Abijah changed the course of a nation.
3) Returning to Luke, in 6:28-30, Jesus gives “real to life” examples of authentic righteousness. Are these natural for us? In what way do these examples impact our walk with Christ in other areas?
4) Luke 6:35-36, Jesus speaks of rewards for those who follow His instruction. Discuss the rewards mentioned in these two verses. How does this change your eagerness to follow the Lord?
5) Application: Last time, you were asked to count the cost of following Christ. Reflect on that once again this week. Spend 15-20 minutes reading the Luke passage again and observe the cost and the reward of following Christ.
